My Bitcoin Experiment
There is so much of crypto (or Web3 – whatever you want to call it) that perplexes me. I stick with B2B SaaS for my day job. From a technology standpoint I don't believe in dismissing something because I don't fully understand it. I'm old enough to remember when most people struggled with the concept of the cloud, many people over 60 still do. The dot com crash of the early 2000s had people doubting the internet entirely. Wild to think about almost 23 years later.
This is not to say crypto (or Bitcoin) will have the same fate as the internet did, but rather to not get caught up in short term and always take a long term view on new technological developments. Be curious instead of dismissive. I've got no idea how well crypto or Bitcoin will do in the long run, but have found I always learn best by participating.
Having held Bitcoin now for 5 years, I think it's still worth holding in the long run for a variety of other reasons besides hoping it goes to the moon.
Given the current state of the industry I'll start taking a look at other crypto assets to dabble in. I'm excited to keep learning especially as overall sentiment has cooled significantly. Web3 uses cases anyone?
